WEINGÄRTNER MACHINING CENTER HAS ARRIVED AT ARBURG (Loßburg, DE)

During the night from Wednesday (02/21) to Thursday (02/22) at around 1:30 am, the main component (weighing 45 tons) of a new machining center from WEINGÄRTNER arrived at ARBURG.

The last section from the freeway exit Rottenburg to Loßburg was completed by the 29 meters long special transport of 14 axles in as little as one and a half hours.
The Weingärtner machining center, including automation and additional components, is around 25 meters long. It rests on special concrete foundations reinforced with iron and steel and is embedded 60 centimeters in the hall floor. This makes operation of the new large machine much more convenient, since the machine driver can reach the work space much more easily. The highly automated machining center is used in machine production for manufacturing plasticizing screws. Of particular interest is that workpieces can also be machined simultaneously, resulting in very efficient utilization of the plant capacities.
